Sandie Ireland, president of Gwinear Village Show 2024, congratulated Elizabeth Eustice when she was chosen as president for 2025. Sandie, who has been involved in organising the show since it began in 1976, has been a driving force in bringing it back after Covid forced its cancellation in 2020. Since then changing demands on land use has made it difficult to find a suitable venue but this didn’t stop Sandie, and the committee, from wanting to continue with the show which resumed last year.
Elizabeth, President for 2025, said “It’s an honour and a privilege to be President of the Gwinear Agricultural Association’s Second Village Show which is to be held on Saturday 5 July 2025 at Wall Methodist Hall, Wall Road, Gwinear. This is a community event featuring competitions in Cookery, Photography, Art, Handicraft, Floral Art and a Children’s Section. There are also Horticultural Classes and a new class for 2025 – “The Best Kept Garden in the Parish”.
I’d like to take this opportunity to thank the Committee of the Association for their hard work and commitment in staging this Show and promoting community spirit in this lovely rural area.
There is still time to enter the competitions – Schedules and Entry Forms can be obtained from @Nikki Vincent, the Domestic Secretary.
Doors open to the public at 1.00pm There will be a raffle and refreshments as well as the opportunity to catch up with friends.
There will be a warm welcome to everyone who comes along!
Elizabeth Eustice
President
Gwinear Agricultural Association”
